We made it to Austin - our last planned stop on this vacation! Very nice campground with very roomy sites. Setting up the camper it decided to roll about a foot forward and bent one of the jacks - always has to be something.

Took a ride into Austin to find the hotel and to just look around. Going down Congress street, found it very interesting that there is diagonal parking on the street, but you have to back into the spot - great thinking!

Spent lots of time just hanging around the campsite relaxing!

Geni: Texas may be a big state, but it can't possibly be in the top ten for population! We drove through a few major cities with lots of traffic, but they were pretty spread out. Mostly we saw cattle roaming in acres of land or fams, little towns whose neighborhoods consist of houses alongside the main road, or "Dallas" type ranches.
