It hit 34 degrees last night, the heat was on. We had seen most of what we wanted to see in Vail so we left. Didn't get an early start, more like 10:30. Figured we'd get part way to Salt Lake. Trip was going along fine until we took a wrong turn in Spanish Forks and then heard brakes rubbing. Turns out one of the bolts in the truck's caliper mount came out. Too late to get the part so we're spending the night in a parking lot.

Geni: Cold in Vail, not much we wanted to do, so decided to move on. Drove from Colorado to Utah, 390 miles. Enjoyed all the beautiful mountain views and were once more amazed at all the uninhabited land across our route. Almost at Provo,, but we took a wrong turn and then we heard noises coming from the truck. We were able to pull into a shopping mall and noticed an Auto Zone across the street.! Maybe we could be lucky and they would have the part we needed, because it was 5 o'clock.. Bad news was they didn't, so we are staying at the mall for the night and we'll get the part tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be on our way. Good news is that we weren't stranded at one of the many locations shown below!!
