Today we went out to White Sands National Monument. It is so neat to see all the white dunes. Walking on them is great since they are cool on your feet. We then headed up to Alamogordo for lunch and to buy some pistachios. On the way back it rained so hard the wipers on high couldn't keep up. Stocked up on food and called it a day. We decided to take it easy for a couple of days as we have been on the go for a while now.

Geni: White Sands was amazing. It looked like snow but was beautiful white sand. It was finally a place where I could really be a part of and not worry about bears or any creepy things that crawl (as they don't come out until night time). I watched the weather turn from blue skys to black clouds. I saw the rainfall in the distance. It was just amazing. We were told about a pistachio shop which we stopped at and found a nice barbeque place for a late lunch. We were going to go back to the park for a ranger sunset tour but it was raining. We are staying here for a few more days mostly because it is hard to find campsites during the weekend so we have to schedule around it.
