Sheldon and Geni's 2014 Camping Trip
Today is: September 1
We woke up in: Clearwater, MN We're going to sleep in: Glendive, MT

Shel: I'm not sure why, but gas milage always sucks in the Dakotas. Had a great headwind - really hurt the numbers. Drove 572 miles today.

Geni: Slept well last night, listening to the rain hit the camper. Left today as sun rose and made it through North Dakota and into Montana. Found a campground to stay tonight. It's pretty low in the rating scale, and one big reason is the train whistle that blows loud and long. We can only hope it doesn't travel through this area during the night. But it has hook ups so I could finally take a shower. Those pioneer women and families who traveled by wagon train were truly amazing. My "wagon train" goes fast, keeps refrigerated items, stock full of food and has a shower.

The sun rises and reflects on the puddled ground as we leave the Flying J "resort" in Clearwater, Minnesota

You can see the highway for miles

Geese in Flight - one of many sculptures in North Dakota. This sculpture along I 94 which is called "Enchanted Highway"

Dark clouds bring some rain but you can also see blue sky as we drive down the highway
