Slept late in New Jersey and headed for Virginia - quite a bit of rain and traffice through Washington, DC, Deleware and Maryland. But we were doing great and started thinking about hitting the visitors center at the Skyline Drive. Then we were at a red light in Front Royal, VA and two guys in a truck signalled us to roll down the window. They said our brakes were smoking!! Shel pulled over at a motel parking lot and checked it out. He took off the wheel and saw the problem. However, it wasn't a problem he could fix. Luckily he found a guy said he would come to us, although he didn't ordinarily. He was only a few minutes away -- which was also very fortunate. The motel owner let Shel work on the camper in his parking lot, which turned out to be a three hour ordeal, but we were able to drive the camper away! Shel was not happy since the camper is new and this brake problem shouldn't have happened, but he was happy about the results!

We were able to get to a nice campground about 6ish -- showered, ate dinner and watched the rain pour for about a half hour. It was a lucky day for such an unexpected situation -- you just never know!!
