Sheldon and Geni's 2016 Trip to Hawaii

We woke up in: Honolulu, HI We're going to sleep in: Honolulu, HI

Shel: Today starts off with a bus tour of the city and also a tour of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. Found some great places to eat, I mean, what's important :)

Geni: Even though you know about the bombing at Pearl Harbor, when you go through the historical displays and ferry to the Arizona memorial, the enormity of the tragedy hits you hard. Turns out we were the last ferry to the Arizona, as they stopped due to choppy waters. You can see the memorial from the shore, but to be able to stand on the memorial was very moving. The tour of the city was nice. We drove by the national cemetary, the Honolulu city hall and the building that hawaii 5-0 filmed it's headquarters.

Here you can see the deck of the sunken sjip.

This is the lower part of a gun turret. The guns were removed for other ships during the war.

On bus tour of city, went to National Memorial Cemetary of the Pacific where many of the deceased from the attack are buried.
