Shel: We went on a glacier and wildlife boat tour. I was looking forward to it. I got very sea sick on it :( Geni enjoyed it though.) Geni: Waitress at lunch recommended we take the Kenai Fjords National Park 7 hour cruise to see the glaciers, so we booked it for today. It was a great time, long ride back though, but the trip out there was filled with lots to see. Shel started not feeling good about an hour into the trip. Later, when the captain speeded up the boat in rough waters, there were many casualties besides Shel. I actually almost made it to the calmer waters, but did not succeed. I recovered soon after, but poor Shel never did. |

Second glacier we saw, the Aialik Glacier - lots of talk about how they are all receding due to climate changes |
Sea lion on ice nearby glacier |
![]() Sea otters - doing the back float, so cute! That's their comfortable position I guess |
Another picture of the glacier |
See ice exploding in middle of picture - called calving. Sounds like thunder and creaks and groans before it falls into the ocean |
![]() Puffin on ledge -- far away shot that was magnified |
Sea lions hanging cliffside |
Not sure name of these birds, but they are not penguins |
